Merged

Sometimes images just stay in your head, day and night, and you are not sure why. What it is about the idea that you obsess over that image. This picture is my first back painting in years. This image is a merge of ideas. Sleestak and aliens, in addition to some other ideas, were both obsessions of mine when I was little and moving constantly from place to place. The large vacant eyes in the transparent face, the roughness of the image, and the bleeding colors all mean something during the process. Painting isn't a straight forward process, it is a series of obsessions, tests, intuitions, accidents, and skill.
