One does feel tremendously, when one is in this beautiful country, that one is part of a larger soul, which embraces everything … It looks as though the amount of good and evil were about the same in the world. I think the good will probably win in the end – though not necessarily, unless the most persistent and tremendous efforts are made … But I’m not a pessimist, and I think it will be all right.
